As an AI Ethics and Legal Research Intern, you will support the development of internal ethical standards, research legal implications of AI-driven systems, and help evaluate how evolving regulations may affect the design, deployment, and use of our technologies. You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, strategists, and innovation teams to ensure responsible thinking is integrated into real-world AI and robotics initiatives.
Additionally, you will engage in continuous research and evaluation of emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. This proactive approach ensures our team remains at the forefront of innovation, integrating cutting-edge solutions into our workflows.
What You’ll Work On:
AI Governance and Compliance Research:
Research legal frameworks, regulatory developments, and policy trends related to AI, robotics, automation, and data-driven technologies.
Help identify compliance considerations that may affect the development and deployment of AI-powered tools and robotics solutions.
Responsible AI and Ethical Standards:
Support the creation of internal ethical guidelines and responsible AI recommendations for emerging technologies.
Research issues such as fairness, accountability, transparency, explainability, and human oversight in AI systems.
Privacy, Data Use, and Risk Analysis:
Explore legal and ethical considerations related to privacy, consent, data collection, and data governance in AI and robotics applications.
Assist in identifying ethical risks and legal concerns in real-world product concepts and workflows.
Bias, Safety, and Societal Impact:
Analyze questions related to bias, safety, accessibility, misuse, and broader social impact in AI-enabled products.
Contribute to research that helps ensure technologies are aligned with responsible innovation practices.
Policy, Documentation, and Legal Summaries:
Review articles, policy papers, legal materials, and public guidance relevant to AI governance.
Prepare clear summaries, research notes, and internal documentation to support decision-making and future policy development.
Cross-Disciplinary Innovation Support:
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to integrate ethical and legal thinking into product discussions and innovation strategy.
Provide research-based insights that help bridge the gap between technology development and responsible governance.
Qualifications and Skills
